Our wedding will be held at Palazzo Massarucci, atop a mountain in the hills between Acquasparta, Terni and Spoleto in southern Umbria, Italy.
The palazzo (http://www.palazzomassarucci.com/) is a 500 year old castle. It has 9 bedrooms, six bathrooms, three kitchens, six fireplaces, a swimming pool and is surrounded by acres of ancient woodland. It was once (allegedly) home to Lucrezia Borgia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lucrezia_Borgia), the 16th century adulteress, (alleged) murderess and illegitimate daughter of Pope Alexander VI. It is said she wore a ring full of poison.
Later the palazzo was home to Anna Mahler, sculptress and daughter of composer Gustav Mahler.
In 2004, Miss Sofia Loren slept in the house while filming a TV movie called Lives of the Saints. What powers might one gain by sharing her bed?
Here is a blog entry somebody wrote about the town:

Hideous!!! Might as well be Dennys…… I cant believe I have to go all the way to Umbria for this!
Wish we could be there for your big day.
So sorry we cannot.
